India Achieves 99.9% 5G Coverage Nationwide

The Minister of State for Communications announced in the Rajya Sabha that 5G services have been rolled out across all states and union territories in India, now reaching 99.9% of districts. As of December 31, 2025, a total of 518,854 5G Base Transceiver Stations have been installed nationwide. The government has implemented measures such as spectrum auctions and financial reforms to support widespread 5G deployment. Further expansion and installation depend on various factors, including technical feasibility and device penetration.
