India Achieves Comprehensive 5G Rollout Across the Nation

Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, the Minister of State for Communications, announced that 5G services are now available in all states and union territories of India, covering 99.9% of the districts. As of October 31, 2025, over 5 lakh 5G Base Transceiver Stations have been installed countrywide by telecom service providers. The government has implemented initiatives like the BharatNet project and the 4G Saturation scheme to enhance connectivity in underserved areas. These efforts aim to reduce call drops and improve internet connectivity across both urban and rural regions.
