India Advances Global Trade Relations Through Strategic FTAs
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal announced India's substantial progress in securing global trade access through strategic Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). Addressing the CII National Exports Competitiveness Summit, Goyal outlined negotiations with significant economic blocs, including the Gulf Cooperation Council, Israel, and Chile, to secure India's position in global trade. He emphasized the doubling of trade with Australia and the UAE and outlined a four-point roadmap to boost India's exports, focusing on grassroots FTA outreach, quality enhancement, value addition, and developing local export ecosystems.
