India Advances Semiconductor Program with 10 New Projects
Under the Semicon India Programme, with an investment of Rs. 76,000 crore, India has approved 10 semiconductor projects, aiming to bolster its self-reliance in technology. The projects, including fabs and packaging units, are part of a broader strategy inspired by the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India. With growing investments, the country's IT sector revenue is estimated to reach USD 283 billion in 2024-25 as per NASSCOM reports.
