India Aims for Global Leadership in Live Events by 2030
The Indian government is setting ambitious targets for the live events sector to foster economic growth, employment, tourism, and cultural promotion by establishing a comprehensive regulatory framework. The newly formed Live Events Development Cell (LEDC) has initiated key reforms, including an online permissions system and a model licensing framework to streamline processes and enhance infrastructure. With the aim of making India a global hub for live events by 2030, the initiative includes partnerships for vocational training and addressing challenges faced by the sector.
