India and Canada Ministers Discuss Bilateral Trade at WTO Meeting
During a bilateral meeting at the WTO MC-14 event in Yaoundé, Cameroon, India's Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, and Canada's Minister of International Trade, Mr. Maninder Sidhu, discussed expediting the India-Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) negotiations and strengthening sectoral cooperation in shipbuilding, education, pharmaceuticals, and tourism. They also explored joint efforts in clean energy, defence, and space technologies. Additionally, views on WTO reforms and outstanding trade issues were exchanged, emphasizing the importance of consensus in multilateral trading systems.
