India and EU Sign Administrative Arrangement on Advanced Electronic Signatures

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) of India and the Directorate-General for Communication Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT) of the European Commission have entered into an Administrative Arrangement signed on 27 January 2026, aimed at enhancing cooperation on electronic signatures and seals. As a result, interoperability between the systems of India and the European Union is expected to be strengthened, further promoting the security and trust in cross-border digital transactions and trade, especially benefiting MSMEs.
