India and FAO Collaborate to Enhance Blue Port Infrastructure

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying has partnered with the FAO to improve Blue Port infrastructure in India. A webinar was held to discuss the development of Smart and Integrated Fishing Harbours, emphasizing the use of advanced technologies like AI and 5G. The initiative aims to promote sustainable practices and enhance the fisheries sector's competitiveness, with an investment of ₹369.80 crores in three pilot harbours across Gujarat, Daman & Diu, and Puducherry.
