India and Israel Begin Free Trade Agreement Negotiations

India and Israel commenced the first round of negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) on 23 February 2026 in New Delhi, running until 26 February 2026. The discussions, built upon the Terms of Reference signed in November 2025, aim to enhance trade and economic cooperation between the nations, underpinned by bilateral trade worth USD 3.62 billion in FY 2024-2025. Technical experts from both sides are covering aspects such as trade in goods and services, rules of origin, and intellectual property rights.
