India and Italy Strengthen Defence Ties with Bilateral Talks and Cooperation Plan

A bilateral military cooperation plan for 2026-27 was exchanged, focusing on mutual defense interests, the Aatmanirbhar Bharat program, and Italy's defense initiatives. Both countries aim to foster deeper collaboration on regional and global security issues, including West Asia, and agreed on maritime security advancements through the Information Fusion Center-Indian Ocean Region, Gurugram.
