India and UAE Collaborate on Green Steel and Aluminium

Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy met with UAE Economy Minister Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri to discuss industrial cooperation under the India-UAE CEPA framework. The focus was on expanding trade, resource security, and innovation in steel and aluminium, with an emphasis on green steel production. The UAE is seen as a key partner in helping India achieve its 300 million tonne steel production target by 2030. Public Sector Enterprises from India are actively engaging in this partnership, exploring opportunities in high-grade steel and aluminium for automotive and strategic applications.
