India Approves 58 Companies for Critical Mineral Recycling Scheme
The Ministry of Mines in India has approved 58 companies to partake in the Incentive Scheme for Promotion of Critical Mineral Recycling. This initiative, under the National Critical Mineral Mission, aims to strengthen India's mineral security by reducing import dependence through domestic recycling of critical minerals. The scheme has an outlay of ₹1,500 crore and targets lithium-ion batteries, e-waste, and industrial scrap. The project execution phase will soon follow, encouraging investment and capacity building in these key areas.
