India Approves Major Electronics Manufacturing Projects

The Government of India has approved seven projects under the Electronics Manufacturing Component Scheme (ECMS) with an investment of over ₹5500 crores. These projects are expected to generate production worth ₹36,559 crores and create over 5,100 direct jobs across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. The initiative aims to meet domestic demand for key electronic components and reduce import dependence, while also establishing trusted supply chains for various sectors including defence and renewable energy.
