India Boosts Global Traditional Medicine Leadership

During the WHO Global Summit in New Delhi, India held bilateral meetings with 16 nations to strengthen its leadership in traditional medicine. Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav met with WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to express gratitude for global advancements in traditional medicine. These meetings are part of efforts to integrate traditional medicine into global health systems, supported by the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Strategy 2025–2034. The Summit's sessions emphasized research, governance, and international collaboration, as India and Cuba signed an MoU to bolster Ayurveda cooperation. Leaders worldwide called for increased investment and regulation to support the global traditional medicine agenda.
