India Boosts Medicinal Plant Cultivation and Conservation Efforts

The Indian Ministry of AYUSH, through the National Medicinal Plants Board, is implementing key initiatives for the conservation and sustainable management of medicinal plants across various states. Efforts include in-situ and ex-situ conservation, development of Medicinal Plants Conservation and Development Areas, and fostering farmer linkages to enhance market access through the e-CHARAK app. Additionally, the National AYUSH Mission supports the large-scale cultivation of medicinal plants to ensure sustainable livelihoods for communities.
