India-Brunei Inaugural Defence Meeting Boosts Bilateral Ties
The first meeting of the India-Brunei Joint Working Group on Defence Cooperation was held in New Delhi on December 9, 2025. This significant event marked a milestone in strengthening the bilateral defence relationship. Discussions focused on enhancing military exchanges, joint training, maritime security collaboration, capacity building, and defence industry opportunities. The meeting was co-chaired by Shri Amitabh Prasad from India's Ministry of Defence and Ms. Poh Kui Choon from Brunei. A Terms of Reference was signed, setting the groundwork for ongoing collaboration and commitment to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
