India's Union Home Minister Amit Shah proudly announced the successful eradication of Naxalism in the country, marking the end of a six-decade struggle. The announcement was made during a visit to Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, where Shri Shah met with martyrs' families, Central Armed Police Forces personnel, and victims of Naxal violence. The eradication was achieved within a span of 3 to 4 years, a feat attributed to the efforts of security forces and government initiatives.
