India Embarks on Quality-Focused Manufacturing Growth Path by 2047

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal reiterated the importance of quality in manufacturing, reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Zero Defect, Zero Effect' vision. He emphasized India’s target of a $30–35 trillion economy by 2047, with a $2 trillion export goal driven by high-quality standards. The National Quality Conclave was initiated to foster quality across sectors, supported by nine Free Trade Agreements with 38 developed countries, covering two-thirds of global trade. Extensive consultations across various manufacturing sectors are planned to embed quality as a core principle.
