India Enhances Intangible Cultural Heritage Preservation through Zonal Cultural Centres
The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has set up seven Zonal Cultural Centres (ZCCs) aimed at preserving India's diverse folk arts and cultural heritage. These centres document and digitize vanishing art forms and conduct various cultural programmes to engage youth and foster cultural pride among the younger generations. Initiatives like the Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme help in transmitting cultural knowledge, while festivals and outreach activities help showcase India's cultural diversity and promote participation.
