The Ministry of Tourism in India is actively collaborating with state governments to deploy Tourist Police across various states and Union Territories, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Goa, Karnataka, and others, to ensure the safety and security of both domestic and foreign tourists. This measure forms part of a broader strategy to provide a secure travel experience, featuring a 24/7 Multi-Lingual Tourist Helpline available in 12 languages, and the implementation of the Nirbhaya Fund aimed at enhancing women's safety at tourism destinations.
