India Enhancing Exploration and Mining of Rare-Earth Minerals
The Indian government, through the Ministry of Mines, has implemented several initiatives to bolster the exploration, mining, and processing of rare-earth minerals. The Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research has identified substantial rare earth mineral resources along India's coastal regions and inland hard rock terrains. Despite having significant rare-earth resources, further commercial development is limited by technology constraints and a lack of midstream and downstream industries in the rare earth element value chain.
