India Implements Comprehensive Labour Reforms with New Codes
On November 21, 2025, India implemented four major Labour Codes to streamline 29 existing laws, enhancing worker safety, wages, and social security. These codes ensure universal minimum wages, annual health check-ups, and expanded employment rights for women. The government also launched the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana to create 3.5 crore jobs by 2027, focusing on manufacturing.
