The Government of India has announced the implementation of four Labour Codes aimed at modernizing labor laws, enhancing worker welfare, and aligning with global standards. Effective from November 21, 2025, these codes will rationalize 29 existing labor laws, ensuring better wages, social security, and safety for all workers, including gig and platform workers. The reforms are designed to create a more resilient workforce and boost employment opportunities, particularly for women and youth.
