India Implements Robust Fertilizer Supply Chain Management

The Government of India is enhancing logistics and supply chain management to ensure timely availability of fertilizers across states, especially during peak agricultural seasons. Measures include the Integrated Fertilizer Management System for tracking subsidized fertilizer movement, regular coordination with the Ministry of Railways, and addressing demand-supply gaps with advance imports. The government is committed to preventing malpractices like forced bundling of non-essential products with fertilizers under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
