India Joins Global #MedSafetyWeek Campaign to Promote Safe Use of Medicines

India participated in the tenth edition of the global #MedSafetyWeek campaign from November 3-9, 2025, alongside 130 partner organizations worldwide. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the importance of reporting suspected side effects of medicines, emphasizing that everyone has a role in ensuring medicine safety. Dr. V. Kalaiselvan and Dr. Jai Prakash highlighted the need for increased reporting, as only 5-10% of suspected side effects are currently reported globally. The initiative saw active participation across India, promoting the message through social media and outreach activities.
