India Launches 100-Day Campaign to End Child Marriage

The Ministry of Women and Child Development has launched a 100-day campaign to raise awareness and work towards eliminating child marriage in India. Inaugurated in New Delhi by Union Minister Smt. Annpurna Devi, the campaign marks the first anniversary of the 'Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.' The initiative includes a ₹1,827 crore scholarship allocation to support girls' education and seeks collaboration with Panchayats, community leaders, and various ministries for widespread impact. Over 26 lakh citizens are actively participating, reflecting strong public engagement. The campaign spans from November 27, 2025, to March 8, 2026, focusing on education, community engagement, and policy actions to create a child marriage-free India.
