India Launches 'Adopt A Heritage 2.0' to Boost Monument Preservation

The Ministry of Culture has introduced the 'Adopt A Heritage (AAH) 2.0' initiative aimed at engaging private sector entities to enhance visitor amenities at India's protected monuments. While the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) retains responsibility for historical conservation, companies will handle non-conservational enhancements like cleanliness and basic tourist facilities. Thirty Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have already been signed under this program, involving major monuments like Agra Fort and Qutub Minar.
