India Launches National Digital Livestock Mission for Dairy Sector Digitization

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying has initiated the National Digital Livestock Mission (NDLM) to digitize livestock and related services across India. The mission aims to improve livestock productivity, disease control, and provide real-time information to livestock owners. Two mobile applications, "Bharat Livestock" and "1962," and a web interface have been created to register details of animals and manage data efficiently. As of now, over 9.54 crore livestock owners and 36.30 crore animals are registered on the portal.
