India Launches National Quantum Mission
The Government of India has launched the National Quantum Mission (NQM) with an aim to revolutionize quantum technology across various verticals, including computing, communication, sensing, and materials. The mission is designed to foster technological self-reliance and elevate India's position in global quantum research and industry. The initiative, funded with ₹6003.65 crore over eight years, establishes four Thematic Hubs to drive research, entrepreneurship, and international collaboration, fostering an ecosystem conducive to innovation and skilled workforce development.
