India Launches National Quantum Mission with ₹6003.65 Crore Investment

The Government of India has approved the National Quantum Mission (NQM) with a budget of ₹6003.65 crore over eight years. Four Thematic Hubs (T-Hubs) have been established focusing on Quantum Computing, Communication, Sensing, and Materials. The 2024-25 financial year saw an allocation of ₹86 crore, with ₹43.07 crore disbursed and ₹32.77 crore utilized. The initiative involves 152 researchers from 43 institutions, including IIT Guwahati, which received ₹6,92,800.
