The scheme, which supports the 'Make in India' initiative, allows approved applicants to import electric vehicles at reduced customs duties and mandates a minimum investment of ₹4,150 crores. The initiative is part of India's commitment to becoming a global hub for electric vehicle manufacturing and achieving Net Zero by 2070.
