The third round of negotiations for the India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) concluded successfully on September 19, 2025, in Queenstown, New Zealand. The discussions aimed to strengthen economic ties and work towards a balanced agreement, guided by the visions of Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Christopher Luxon. With India's bilateral trade with New Zealand reaching USD 1.3 billion in FY 2024-25, a 49% growth, the FTA is expected to enhance trade flows and investment linkages.
