The pavilion aims to showcase India's maritime strengths and foster international cooperation. Sonowal emphasized India's rich maritime heritage and proposed collaboration with Norway in cultural, technological, and academic fields for the National Maritime Heritage Centre in Gujarat. The event also included a tribute to 86 Indian sailors who died in WWII at the Minnehallen Memorial in Norway.
