India Prepares for 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine

The Ministry of Ayush, in collaboration with the World Health Organization, has commenced preparations for the 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine to be held from 17-19 December 2025 in New Delhi. This event will focus on the global integration of traditional medicine systems such as Ayurveda, Yoga, and others into national health systems. The summit aims to establish a roadmap for evidence-based application and regulatory strengthening of these practices. Highlighting the significance of herbal medicine, a special event on the medicinal properties of Ashwagandha will be conducted to explore its global impact and contemporary relevance.
