India Promotes Nano DAP Adoption and Fertilizer Self-Sufficiency

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has announced the promotion of Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) under an Open General License, allowing companies to import and manufacture freely. A campaign named 'Maha Abhiyan' aims to adopt Nano DAP across 15 agro-climatic zones, supported by various initiatives to enhance awareness and usage of innovative fertilizers. The government is also working to reduce import dependency by encouraging the development of nano-fertilizers and other customized formulations, with a focus on improving nutrient use efficiency and minimizing losses.
