India Strengthens Global Partnerships on Social Security at ISSA Forum

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya engaged in bilateral meetings with Uganda and Malaysia during the ISSA World Social Security Forum in Kuala Lumpur. Discussions focused on social security cooperation, mutual recognition of skills, and safe labour mobility. India highlighted its significant expansion in social protection coverage, increasing from 19% in 2015 to over 64% in 2025, benefiting 940 million people. The meetings emphasized India's digital-first approach to social protection and its readiness to support both countries in enhancing their social security frameworks.
