India to Boost MICE Tourism with New Convention Bureaus
The Indian Ministry of Tourism plans to establish city-level convention promotion bureaus to enhance the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism sector starting in 2026. These bureaus will operate as independent entities in collaboration with stakeholders to position India as a leading MICE destination globally. The initiative was announced by Shri Suman Billa at the IEIA EventTech & MarTech Summit 2025, highlighting the strategic role of technology and public-private partnerships in doubling India's global MICE market share in the next five years.
