India to Co-Host 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine
India, alongside the World Health Organization (WHO), will co-host the 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine from December 17 to 19, 2025, in New Delhi. This summit will convene global leaders, policymakers, and researchers to discuss innovation, evidence-based practices, and strategies for the future of traditional medicine. At a curtain-raiser event led by Union Minister of AYUSH, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, India's leadership role in traditional medicine and the impact of national research institutions were highlighted. The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Delhi is noted for its significant contributions to Ayurvedic research, particularly in addressing lifestyle diseases. The summit aims to integrate traditional medicine into global public health systems through discussions, panels, and exhibitions.
