India to Host 2026 BRICS Anti-Drug Agencies Meeting in Guwahati

India will host the annual BRICS Heads of Anti-Drug Agencies meeting in Guwahati in July 2026. This high-level gathering aims to enhance cooperation among member countries to combat synthetic drugs, improve intelligence sharing, and strengthen operational coordination. The event, organized by the Narcotics Control Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs, will also showcase India's recent efforts and initiatives in battling drug trafficking and substance abuse, including its Vision Document on Narcotics Control for 2026–2029. The meeting will culminate in a Joint Declaration and focus on leveraging technology, tackling darknet drug trade, and enhancing global supply chains against chemical leakage.
