India to Launch Bharat Container Shipping Line to Boost EXIM Logistics

The Indian government is set to establish the Bharat Container Shipping Line (BCSL) as a significant step towards an integrated, domestically anchored container ecosystem. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Ashwini Vaishnaw. This initiative aligns with India's larger strategy of enhancing its export-import (EXIM) logistics capabilities and is envisioned as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision for 2047.
