India Unveils First Franchise-based Cycling League of India

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, has unveiled the logo of the world's first franchise-based Road Cycling League, named Cycling League of India. This initiative aims to elevate cycling in India by creating a professional ecosystem featuring eight franchises with international and emerging Indian talent, fostering a sports culture and providing a platform for cyclists. The league will consist of events like criterium races and team trials, drawing on the success of events like the Pune Grand Tour. The movement aligns with national fitness and environmental goals.
