Indian Air Force Opens Officer Cadre Entry via GATE Scores
The Indian Air Force has introduced a new scheme for induction into its Technical Branch (Officer Cadre) by allowing candidates to apply based on their Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores. Candidates with valid GATE scores can directly proceed to testing at Air Force Selection Boards without taking the initial written exams, like the Air Force Common Admission Test. This scheme, however, is exclusive to the Technical Branch, with the AFCAT continuing as the standard admission test for all IAF branches. Candidates can still choose to apply through both GATE and AFCAT.
