The Indian Coast Guard has expanded its fleet with the commissioning of the ICGS Amulya, a Fast Patrol Vessel, at a ceremony in Goa. This Adamya-class vessel, built with over 60% indigenous components, represents a significant step towards defense self-reliance under India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Fitted with advanced diesel engines, Amulya is capable of high-speed operations and long missions, aimed at enhancing coastal and maritime security. The vessel will operate based in Paradip, Odisha.
