Indian Government Advances Textile Sector with PM MITRA Parks Initiative

The Indian Government has announced the establishment of seven Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks across various states to enhance investment, job creation, and global positioning in the textile sector. Covering both Greenfield and Brownfield sites, these parks will provide world-class infrastructure and facilities, with an investment allocation of ₹4,445 crore from 2021-22 to 2027-28. The initiative is projected to generate substantial employment and attract considerable investment, already receiving ₹42,491 crore in MoUs and EOIs across selected states.
