Indian Naval Ships INS Rana and INS Jyoti have arrived in Colombo for the 12th edition of the Sri Lanka India Naval Exercise (SLINEX-25) from August 14 to 18, 2025. This bilateral exercise, initiated in 2005, aims to enhance maritime cooperation and interoperability between India and Sri Lanka. The exercise will include a Harbour phase with professional interactions and cultural exchanges, followed by a Sea phase featuring naval drills. The event underscores the strong maritime ties between the two nations.
