This commissioning, to be presided over by Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh in Visakhapatnam, marks a significant step in India's maritime sovereignty and self-reliance. Built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited in Mumbai, the frigate embodies modern stealth technology and is heavily indigenous, with over 75% local content. Taragiri is equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and versatile systems, making it suitable for various missions, from combat to humanitarian assistance.
