Indian Railways Conducts 1,799 Seminars on Pension System Switch

Indian Railways has organized 1,799 seminars nationwide to inform employees about the option to switch from the National Pension System (NPS) to the Unified Pension System (UPS). The initiative aims to enhance post-retirement financial security for employees, with a deadline for opting for UPS set for September 30, 2025. The seminars were led by various railway zones, with Southern Railway conducting the most sessions. Eligible employees can make a one-time switch but cannot revert back to UPS after opting for NPS.
