The Ministry of Railways has announced that Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) possessing valid Unique Disability ID (UDID) cards can travel in unreserved coaches designated for Divyangjan in Mail/Express trains. This initiative aims to improve accessibility and ensure inclusivity. PwDs with valid IDs or those eligible for railway concessional fare facilities will be considered valid passengers for Second Class Luggage-cum-Brake Van coaches (SLRD or LSLRD) designated for PwDs, provided they have valid travel authority. Strict actions will be enforced against unauthorized passengers traveling in these coaches to secure available spaces for genuine beneficiaries.
