India's Animation and Gaming Sector Boosted by WAVES Initiative

The Indian government, through the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, has strengthened the country's animation, gaming, and XR ecosystem with the launch of the WAVES platform and the establishment of the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) in Mumbai. Supported by global companies and functioning as a Public-Private Partnership, IICT aims to fill skill gaps and support startups by providing specialized training and industry collaborations, thus positioning India as a global creativity hub.
