The event included 69,000 activities engaging 21 lakh participants nationwide. Prime Minister Modi initiated a tree plantation drive and launched the National Plastic Pollution Reduction Campaign, focusing on reducing single-use plastics and promoting eco-alternatives. The campaign runs until October 31, 2025, and includes various initiatives to enforce plastic waste management rules and encourage recycling.
